Etiological Aspects of Nonspecific Ulcerative Colitis : SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

The author of the article gives information about the current thinking on the cause of the development of nonspecific ulcerative colitis, with detail reflects the role of domestic factors this pathological process. Special negative role process struggles with weight, when people begin to sharply restrict themselves in eating, turning on sour milk products, exclude the fruits and vegetables. This leads to constipation. Chair happens only once every 2-3 days. To combat it has resorted to klizmam, resulting in dislocation of pathogenic flora from the anus in sigmovidnuju gut and even higher. Dies the normal flora and evolving pathogen that promotes the development of ulcerative process in colon mucosa. Genomodificirovannye products the boat’s controllability, immunity, and due to lack of adult lactose dairy products call fermentation adopted food. Gradually creates a pathological complex for the development of the disease. In the prevention of this pathological process man can only help himself.

Early diagnosis Gorlin-Goltz syndrome: A Rare Case Report: SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

Gorlin-Goltz syndrome, is an uncommon, autosomal dominant inherited disorder, which is characterized by numerous basal cell carcinoma (known as nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome (NBCCS)). The common manifestations include multiple odontogenic keratocysts in the jaws are usually one of the first manifestations of the syndrome, macrocephaly, frontal boosing, multiple basal cell nevi on the skin with an early age onset, palmar pits, bifid or splayed ribs, high arched palate, calcified diaphragm sellae, calcifications of the falx cerebri. Although all the manifestations may not be present in all the patients. We reported here a child patient, a 8-year-old child boy visited maxillofacial department in Rizgary teaching hospital for right premaxillary swelling emphasizing its clinical and radiographic manifestations of Gorlin -Goltz syndrome with no family history, the patient has multiple odontogenic keratocysts, rib anomalies, calcifications of the falx cerebri, frontal and temporal boosing, macrocephaly and thick eye brows. This study highlights the importance of maxillofacial surgeon in the early diagnosis, treatment and closes follow up is important to prevent long-term complication including malignancy and oromaxillofacial deformation and destruction.

Sternal Cleft: Appropriate Approach to Diagnosis and Treatment: SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

Sternal cleft (SC) is a rare congenital anomaly of the chest wall, isolated or combined with other malformations. We try to provide an appropriate stepwise approach for the diagnosis and treatment of SC. Prenatal ultrasound diagnosis can be obtained after the 18th week of gestation. At birth, diagnosis is based on the findings of clinical examination, chest x-ray, computed tomography and additional investigations for the associated anomalies. Primary approximation of the sternal bars is preferred before the age of 3 months. For older cases and rigid chest wall, the surgical correction can be achieved using prosthetic materials, autologous grafts, or biologic implants. The surgical decision depends on the age of patient, rigidity of the chest wall, and presence of other abnormalities in the chest wall.

Primary Gastric Conduit Cancer 10 Years after Esophagectomy for Esophageal Adenocarcinoma: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

Primary Gastric Conduit Cancer 10 Years after Esophagectomy for Esophageal Adenocarcinoma by

Jeffrey M Farma in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ) in Lupine Publishers

Primary gastric conduit cancer (GCC) is a known but rare occurrence post-esophagectomy with gastric reconstruction of the esophagus. As improvements in post-esophagectomy treatment and surveillance have increased patient survival, GCC is becoming more common, with a reported incidence of 0.2-3.5%. We present the case of a 76-year-old man with metachronous adenocarcinoma of the gastric conduit antrum 10 years after Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy for esophageal adenocarcinoma. He was treated by a total gastrectomy with colonic interposition for esophageal reconstruction.

Sydnone, Münchnone, Montréalone, Mogone, Montelukast, Quebecol and Palau’amine- Enhanced Precatalyst Preparation Stabilization and Initiation (EPPSI) Nano Molecules: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

Sydnone, Münchnone, Montréalone, Mogone, Montelukast, Quebecol and Palau’amine- Enhanced Precatalyst Preparation Stabilization and Initiation (EPPSI) Nano Molecules by Alireza Heidari in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ) in Lupine Publishers

In the current editorial, we study Sydnone, Münchnone, Montréalone, Mogone, Montelukast, Quebecol and Palau’amine- Enhanced Precatalyst Preparation Stabilization and Initiation (EPPSI) Nano molecules (Figure 1) incorporation into the Nano Polymeric Matrix (NPM) by immersion of the Nano Polymeric Modified Electrode (NPME) as molecular enzymes and drug targets for human cancer cells, tissues and tumors treatment under synchrotron and synchrocyclotron radiations. In this regard, the development of Chemical Modified Electrodes (CEMs) is at present an area of great interest. CEMs can be divided broadly into two main categories; namely, surface modified and bulk modified electrodes. Methods of surface modification include adsorption, covalent bonding, attachment of polymer Nano films, etc. Polymer Nano film coated electrodes can be differentiated from other modification methods such as adsorption and covalent bonding in that they usually involve multilayer as opposed to monolayer frequently encountered for the latter methods. The thicker Nano films imply more active sites which lead to larger analytical signals. This advantage coupled with other, their versatility and wide applicability, makes polymer Nano film modified electrodes particularly suitable for analytical applications [1-27].

An Unusual Case of Pre-Auricular Myiasis: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

An Unusual Case of Pre-Auricular Myiasis by Abhinaya shivakumar* and Dinesh Kumar Sathanantham in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ) in Lupine Publishers

Background: Myiasis-the feeding of fly larvae on living mammals has various clinical presentations depending on involved tissues or organs. The most recognised causative organism Dermatobia hominis. It involves various sites, rarity in this case report is the site of involvement and in turn occurrence of an underlying malignancy.
Case report: 68 year old lady, presented with an ulcer over the right side of the pre-auricular region for 1 year. On examination, it was infested with maggots larvae, which later on had a underlying squamous cell carcinoma with basal cell carcinoma. Patient underwent treatment for the same. Details of the case and the management is been presented.
Conclusion: Myiasis transmitted by Human Botfly, infests all cavities mainly ENT sites, in debilitated individuals. But its occurrence in a open space of the body, and its association is a rarity and has been reported in this case. Author concludes, that all myiasis should be managed meticulously.

Use of Skin Grafts for the Correction of a Circumcision Complication: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

Use of Skin Grafts for the Correction of a Circumcision Complication by Luiz G Freitas Filho, Jose Carnevale and Luiz J Budib in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ) in Lupine Publishers

Background: Circumcision is largely performed and is considered to be technically simple and safe but it may occasionally lead to important complications.
Aim: To report the case of a patient who underwent a circumcision and presented a complication that obliged the use of skin grafts to recover the penis.
Materials and Methods: A 12-year old boy with neurogenic bladder underwent a circumcision using Plastibell device and presented a fasciitis of the lower abdomen and perineum with necrosis of the skin of the penis. He was submitted to a new surgical intervention where skin grafts from the abdomen were used to cover the body of the penis
Result: The cosmetic aspect of the penis was considered adequate at six months after the surgical procedure.
Conclusion: The use of skin graft could be a good and reliable alternative for different conditions resulting in buried penis.

Double Malignancies: A Rare Entity: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

Double Malignancies: A Rare Entity by Subhashish Das in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ) in Lupine Publishers

Patients which have diagnosed with a cancer, have a life time risk for developing another de novo malignancy depending on various inherited environmental and iatrogenic risk factors. Cancer victims could survive longer due to settling treatment modalities, and then would likely develop a new metachronous malignancy [1]. The incidence of multiple primary malignancies has not been rare at all. Screening procedures have especially been useful for the early detection of associated tumors, whereas careful monitoring of patients has treated for primary cancer, and then a good communication between patients and medical care team would certify not only an early detection for secondary tumors, but only finally & subsequently, an appropriate management.

Is Alveolar Ridge can be Completely Preserved by Socket Shield Technique (SST)? A Case Series: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

Is Alveolar Ridge can be Completely Preserved by Socket Shield Technique (SST)? A Case Series by Hassan Koshak in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ) in Lupine Publishers

Background: Tooth extraction is usually followed by partial resorption of the residual alveolar ridge. Different techniques such as ridge preservation procedure have been proposed to maintain the ridge dimension. However, applying these methods to extraction sockets could not completely preserve the coronal part of facial bone walls, which were comprised almost entirely of bundle bone.
Aim: To assess the effectiveness of partially tooth extraction (SST) for completely preservation of alveolar ridge.
Materials and Method: Case series study, which includes 6 participants medically fit, undergoes extraction of Non-restorable teeth, which doesn’t have any periapical or periodontal pathology. After clinical and radiographical assessment, computed tomography (CBCT), indicated insufficient width of buccal bone plate therefore socket shield technique was planned for simultaneous immediate implant placement with immediate provisionalization in area between the maxillary first premolars. Initial follow up after two weeks then after 2 months final restoration by screw retained crowns inserted, after 6 and 12 months of loading follow up by using CBTC, for evaluation bone remodelling and clinical evaluation of soft tissue changes around implants.
Result: Two weeks follow up revealed the healing was uneventful, and after 6 and 12 months the clinical and (CBCT) revealed, that retaining root fragment adjacent to the buccal crestal bone and placing an implant engaged to the palatal socket wall immediately are able to maintain the contour of the ridge. And the implant can achieve osseointegration without any inflammation at Periimplant tissue and also soft tissue contour preserved.
Conclusion: within limitation of this study we can conclude, after one year follow up, SST can prevent soft and hard tissue changes can be happens during healing of alveolar socket after tooth extraction. However the using SST as routine clinical practice stile need to higher level of evidence.
