Etiological Aspects of Nonspecific Ulcerative Colitis : SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

The author of the article gives information about the current thinking on the cause of the development of nonspecific ulcerative colitis, with detail reflects the role of domestic factors this pathological process. Special negative role process struggles with weight, when people begin to sharply restrict themselves in eating, turning on sour milk products, exclude the fruits and vegetables. This leads to constipation. Chair happens only once every 2-3 days. To combat it has resorted to klizmam, resulting in dislocation of pathogenic flora from the anus in sigmovidnuju gut and even higher. Dies the normal flora and evolving pathogen that promotes the development of ulcerative process in colon mucosa. Genomodificirovannye products the boat’s controllability, immunity, and due to lack of adult lactose dairy products call fermentation adopted food. Gradually creates a pathological complex for the development of the disease. In the prevention of this pathological process man can only help himself.

Early diagnosis Gorlin-Goltz syndrome: A Rare Case Report: SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

Gorlin-Goltz syndrome, is an uncommon, autosomal dominant inherited disorder, which is characterized by numerous basal cell carcinoma (known as nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome (NBCCS)). The common manifestations include multiple odontogenic keratocysts in the jaws are usually one of the first manifestations of the syndrome, macrocephaly, frontal boosing, multiple basal cell nevi on the skin with an early age onset, palmar pits, bifid or splayed ribs, high arched palate, calcified diaphragm sellae, calcifications of the falx cerebri. Although all the manifestations may not be present in all the patients. We reported here a child patient, a 8-year-old child boy visited maxillofacial department in Rizgary teaching hospital for right premaxillary swelling emphasizing its clinical and radiographic manifestations of Gorlin -Goltz syndrome with no family history, the patient has multiple odontogenic keratocysts, rib anomalies, calcifications of the falx cerebri, frontal and temporal boosing, macrocephaly and thick eye brows. This study highlights the importance of maxillofacial surgeon in the early diagnosis, treatment and closes follow up is important to prevent long-term complication including malignancy and oromaxillofacial deformation and destruction.

The History of Opcab (Off Pump) Coronary Surgery: SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

After the advent of the heart-lung machine, few surgeons continued to use the OPCAB technique, Among those were Benetti and Buffolo from South America, who published in the early 1990s the first two large series on OPCAB surgery [1-3]. Several surgical approaches were tested, such as full sternotomy, no spreading sternotomy including left, anterolateral, Posterolateral and right anterolateral thoracotomies, as well as partial sternotomy [3]. The video-assisted techniques in the nineties allowed us, for the first time, to dissect the left internal thoracic artery (LITA) without opening the pleura cavity. The LITA was anastomosed to the left anterior descending (LAD) through a small left anterior thoracotomy and the MIDCAB operation was create [4-6].

Intestinal Obstruction by Blind Vove Iess Riobamba Hospital 2014: SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

Introduction: Cecal volvulus is the second most common volvulus among colonic volvulus, usually presenting as bowel obstruction.
Case Presentation: A 65 year old female presented with abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension and abscense of flatus and stool

Erect Abdominal radiograph showed marked colonic distension with air-fluid levels. Urgent surgical treatment is decided.
Conclusion: Cecal volvulus should always be considered as a possible cause of mechanical ileus. Radiographs and CT are invaluable in the diagnosis of this condition.

Double Malignancies: A Rare Entity: SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

Patients which have diagnosed with a cancer, have a life time risk for developing another de novo malignancy depending on various inherited environmental and iatrogenic risk factors. Cancer victims could survive longer due to settling treatment modalities, and then would likely develop a new metachronous malignancy [1]. The incidence of multiple primary malignancies has not been rare at all. Screening procedures have especially been useful for the early detection of associated tumors, whereas careful monitoring of patients has treated for primary cancer, and then a good communication between patients and medical care team would certify not only an early detection for secondary tumors, but only finally & subsequently, an appropriate management [2].

Is Alveolar Ridge can be Completely Preserved by Socket Shield Technique (SST)? A Case Series: SCSOAJ - Lupine Publishers

Born in Russia at the end of the XIXth century the Scientific Student Societies have developed a rather original way of initiation and involvement of the young in the scientific research during High School and University cursus. All through the XXth century and up to now, they have given several generations of Russian scientists an adequate pre formation consisting not only of skill acquisition in their future speciality but also in planning, realization and organization of scientific research and sharing of its results. Their popularity was also due to the high degree of initiative and autonomy left to the students.

Primary Gastric Conduit Cancer 10 Years after Esophagectomy for Esophageal Adenocarcinoma: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

Primary Gastric Conduit Cancer 10 Years after Esophagectomy for Esophageal Adenocarcinoma by

Jeffrey M Farma in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ) in Lupine Publishers

Primary gastric conduit cancer (GCC) is a known but rare occurrence post-esophagectomy with gastric reconstruction of the esophagus. As improvements in post-esophagectomy treatment and surveillance have increased patient survival, GCC is becoming more common, with a reported incidence of 0.2-3.5%. We present the case of a 76-year-old man with metachronous adenocarcinoma of the gastric conduit antrum 10 years after Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy for esophageal adenocarcinoma. He was treated by a total gastrectomy with colonic interposition for esophageal reconstruction.

Process for Preparation of Vitamin C and Method for Determination of Vitamin C in Tablets: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

Process for Preparation of Vitamin C and Method for Determination of Vitamin C in Tablets by Krishnasarma pathy in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ) in Lupine Publishers

Procedure for calcium ascorbate (VITAMIN-C) includes such technological steps as reaction of ascorbic acid on calcium carbonate in water. In recent years, the determination of vitamin C has become an important subject in the field of biochemistry and commercial foods. This is because vitamin C plays an important role in maintaining human health. Due to the importance of vitamin C in human beings, the quantitative analysis of vitamin C has gained a significant increase in several areas of analytical chemistry such as pharmaceutical and food applications. There are numerous methods for the determination of vitamin C in a variety of natural samples, biological fluids and pharmaceutical formulations. The prepartaion method and methods for the determination of vitamin C are spectrophotometric methods and non-spectrophotometric methods (Arya and Mahajan, 1997). For non-spectrophotometric methods are such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), titration, enzymatic method and fluorometry (Arya, Mahajan and Jain, 2000). Direct spectrophotometry also has been applied to determine the vitamin C content in soft drinks, fruit juices, and cordials after correction for background absorption in the UV region.

Sternal Cleft: Appropriate Approach to Diagnosis and Treatment: (SCSOAJ) - Lupine Publishers

Sternal Cleft: Appropriate Approach to Diagnosis and Treatment by Yasser Ali Kamal* in Surgery & Case Studies: Open Access Journal (SCSOAJ)  in Lupine Publishers

Sternal cleft (SC) is a rare congenital anomaly of the chest wall, isolated or combined with other malformations. We try to provide an appropriate stepwise approach for the diagnosis and treatment of SC. Prenatal ultrasound diagnosis can be obtained after the 18th week of gestation. At birth, diagnosis is based on the findings of clinical examination, chest x-ray, computed tomography and additional investigations for the associated anomalies. Primary approximation of the sternal bars is preferred before the age of 3 months. For older cases and rigid chest wall, the surgical correction can be achieved using prosthetic materials, autologous grafts, or biologic implants. The surgical decision depends on the age of patient, rigidity of the chest wall, and presence of other abnormalities in the chest wall.
